Building a community of strong bodies and grateful hearts.

Our CrossFit classes are designed to improve overall strength and power and enhance cardiovascular health. This is achieved through a high-intensity fitness program that combines an array of skills and exercises in each 60 minute session. Our CrossFit programming is deliberately and carefully created to incorporate progressive overload to ensure constant and consistent growth.
A closer look:
Typically, a CrossFit class includes 10-12 minutes of warming up our bodies, 15-25 minutes to practice a specific skill and roughly 10-20 minutes of a high intensity workout. All class members will meet at the whiteboard at the beginning of class. Your coach will explain and demonstrate the WOD (workout of the day) starting with the MetCon (metabolic conditioning), the strength (skill focus) and finally the warm-up.
The WOD is written with our top athletes in mind. If a skill or two is beyond someone’s ability, the coach will offer suggestions for scaling or making modifications. That may look like modifying the actually skill (example: utilizing bands to assist with push-ups), modifying the amount of weight used (we have a variety of dumbbell, kettlebell and barbell weights) or changing the number of repetitions (rowing 12 calories vs. 18).
Above all, our number one goal is safety! Modifying CrossFit skills is practiced by a majority of our members on most workouts. In the CrossFit world there is always room to improve and grow if one allows themself to patiently and effectively practice the hard stuff. Think marathon, not sprint.
“CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone—people who are just starting out and people who have trained for years.”

Our CrossFit Kids and Teens classes offer a safe space to learn, fail, and try again - always with a supportive community cheering them on! CrossFit teaches gym safety and etiquette while exploring the world of fitness. It is the sport for young athletes while in between seasons or all year round.
Teenagers are encouraged to come to the 3:30 CrossFit classes Monday through Friday. These young athletes will complete the same WOD as adults with the help of the coaches to modify any skills when necessary.
We have several day and evenings class options for our youngest CrossFit athletes. Daytime classes are open to ages 5+. Evening classes are open to ages 7-13. Both mimic the layout of a regular CrossFit class with a warm-up (usually involving a game) skill practice and workout. The last 15 minutes of class is a condensed version of the regular CrossFit WOD for ages 7+.

Boot Camp is endurance training that focuses on calisthenics, core, cardio and light to moderate weight training. The purpose is to use the whole 45 minutes to push limits and work the entire body with only a few built-in breaks in between circuits.
A closer look:
Our class layouts include a warm-up, workout (or two) and a finisher. The warm-up is meant to get the body moving in the first few minutes and build intensity in preparation for the workout. Boot Camp workouts are typically 10-20 minute AMRAPs or EMOMs and consist of a mix of core, body weight, kettlebell, dumbbell, barbell and cardio machines. The 3-5 minute finisher is meant to lower the heart rate and work individual muscles to produce a quick burn.

How it began…
In early October of 2019, the dream of CrossFit Gratitude was born. Dustin had just had an emergency gallbladder surgery and while still in the hospital announced that he was opening a gym. Julie, his wife, thought he was losing his mind yet supported his passion. On October 21st Dustin started searching for a location for a gym and found that Fuzion Gymnastics (up the hill from the current location) had a back corner available for rent. By December 10th all of the equipment had arrived and the rig building process had begun. Before opening day, however, the gym was relocated to the front of the building and on March 1st, 2020, CrossFit Gratitude was open for business!
With about ten members and two weeks worth of workouts in the books, COVID-19 rocked the world. CFG closed the doors one month after opening. Dustin posted workouts on social media and the members graciously kept the business alive. CrossFit Gratitude quickly outgrew “the closet” and moved down the hill to its current location in May of 2021, just in time for “Murph”.
It is serendipitous that “Gratitude” became the name of this gym. It’s funny how life often takes unexpected turns and twists that do not necessarily align with perfectly laid out plans. As Dustin’s world shifted, so did his mindset. Through much soul searching and reflection, gratitude has become the most important practice in his life.
Gratitude means being grateful for the people around you and the ways they can impact you and you can impact them. Gratitude should be a practice that we strive to make constant in our daily interactions and thoughts.
Our hope at CrossFit Gratitude is that each member finds gratitude to be a central part of their life.

Paying a monthly CrossFit membership sure beats the skyrocketing costs of geriatric care, ongoing medications, and the nursing home bills for the last who-knows-how-many years of your life. A bit dramatic? Maybe. Maybe not. Here's what we know- when a person stops working their body then their body stops working.
You want to be able to walk up and down the stairs when you're older, right? Then come on in and do some box step overs or box jumps.
Do you dream about carrying around your kids and grandkids? Kettlebell swings are just for you.
Want to be able to pick up the laundry basket IN YOUR OWN HOME when you're 80 years old? Deadlifts and squats are calling your name.
Are you afraid of falling when you're older and not being able to get up easily? It's time to do some burpees.
The money, time, and sweat that you invest into your health now will absolutely affect your health in the future. CrossFit is functional fitness through and through.
Our Core Values
COMMUNITY
CrossFit is more than just a workout. CrossFit is a community of people who all have a common goal of pushing themselves to be better than they were yesterday.
PERSEVERANCE
“Perseverance is not a long race; it's many short races one after another."
-Walter Elliot
