Memorial Day Hero WOD

🇺🇸 Memorial Day at CrossFit Gratitude 🇺🇸
Each Memorial Day we open the gym for a few hours in the morning and complete Hero WODs—gritty, challenging workouts dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Complete a workout on your own or team up with a partner or group! If you’re not sure what Hero WOD to complete, check out this list.

🗓 Date: Memorial Day (Monday, May 26)
🕘 Time: 9:00am - 11:00am
📍 Location: 15020 Nation Road, Kearney, MO 64060

We’ll treat this as an “open gym” session so athletes can complete their work on their own time instead of starting and ending as a class. Come and go as needed.

Sweat with purpose, bring your grit, and pay tribute the way we know best—through hard work and heart.

All are welcome. Bring a friend, wear red, white, and blue, and let's make it a day to remember.

"Murph" Community Workout

"Murph" Community Workout

We will honor Lt. Michael Murphy by hosting the “Murph” CrossFit Hero WOD on May 31st from 9:00-11:00 am. Each year we host this free community event paired with a fundraiser to support a local organization. Join us by participating in the workout or just hanging out and supporting the cause.

The workout is:
1 Mile Run | 100 Pull-Ups | 200 Push-Ups | 300 Air Squats | 1 Mile Run

Do NOT let these numbers scare you away that easily! At CrossFit Gratitude, scaling is cool! Plenty of our members will be scaling the workout so they can finish successfully. A good scaling option might look like:

400m Run/Walk | 20 Ring Rows | 30 Bar Push-Ups | 40 Air Squats to a Med Ball or Chair | 400m Run/Walk

We would be happy to help you find good modifications for your success!

You can let us know you’re coming or just show up! Email Julie (Julie@CrossFitGratitude.com) or call 816-686-6492 with any questions.

Women’s Health Social

The name is temporary… the impact is everlasting.

Janel (the fearless leader) writes: I am excited to announce that we will be hosting a monthly women's accountability and goals meeting starting in May! We will be discussing topics like goal setting, nutrition/recipes, sleep health, mental health, women's health and anything else YOU want! This is going to be an evening of open discussion (with a little bit of guidance) to help us all achieve the goals we've been working on. Think of it as a therapy session with your workout buddies where you have the freedom to ask questions and learn from each other! We all come from different backgrounds and have tried different things. Let's not gatekeep what works!

Our first meeting is next Monday, May 5 from 7-8 pm. Feel free to come to Crossfit Cardio right before the meeting or just come to the meeting if that is what works for you! And bring your mom, sister, friend, coworker, or any other woman in your life who could use some support. No need to sign up ahead of time. However, if you want to reach out, please contact Julie (Julie@CrossFitGratitude.com). See you there!
